IFGF GISI Melbourne Usher Ministries
The usher ministry was put in place to be a part of spreading the kingdom of God and also to care for our local home. The role that ushers
play in preparing each service is invaluable.
In this service, we also build the character of Jesus who was a Servant to us all. The Bible says in Galatians 5:13, "For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." As an usher you get this wonderful opportunity to serve others as Jesus served us. The usher ministry is a blessed opportunity to serve the Body.
This vital ministry in IFGF GISI Melbourne supports the ministry of the Word and Spirit by rendering practical support that will facilitate the efficient running of every service and meeting. This includes every aspect before, during and after the meeting, e.g., arranging of the hall, preparing the bulletins/welcome packets and materials to be given out, preparation for the offering and the communion elements, trafficking the people, etc.
Ushers are also involved in the role of greeters. They are a group of people with vibrant and friendly personalities! They greet the visitors and make them feel welcomed. The greeters also identify people who are new and alone, probably not belonging to any cell group and help them to feel welcomed in IFGF GISI Melbourne.
